Evil is winning overseas. We know that the Gospel of Christ is the only powerful weapon that can stop evil’s advance. But we must help spread God’s good news. Not all are able to move overseas to share the Gospel, but we can send Others to go for us. Our Lottie Moon Offering in Dec-January will be used by our Southern Baptist missionaries. Half of the $3000 we are raising will be sent to our missionaries from USA and half to those from the Philippines. Designate your Special Gift for Overseas Missions as “MISSIONS.”
The MBA Youth Rally & Outreach will be on Sept. 13, 2014 (Saturday), at 9AM - 4PM at Olney Baptist Church.
Age level = Grades 6-12, plus their teachers, guides/advisers and interested parents. 9AM - 12noon - Inspiration & Instruction. Speaker: Youth Pastor of Global Mission Church; Lunch is FREE! Afternoon Ministry = Servanthood Outreach at Olney Korean Home for the Aged. Our Lottie Moon Christmas Offerings and typhoon Haiyan donations are collected together this month. Typhoon giving will end on December 31. Let's mark our sacrificial gifts appropriately..."Lottie Moon" or "Missions." The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair is celebrating its 65th year on August 9-17, 2013.
Churches and individuals are invited to advertise the Gospel and local churches through the MBA booth or through individual initiatives. Let us help and pray for this ministry of our youth and young adults as they travel to the Philippines for another mission. This will be held in July 1-13, 2013. We need to raise funds for hygiene kits, school supplies and sending boxes. Please designate your contributions to "Mission (Pasko sa Hulyo)" on our envelopes.
Let us help and pray for this ministry.
We are still currently raising funds for hygiene kits, schools supplies and sending boxes. The team will be serving communities in Baguio, Dagupan and Payatas, Philippines. There will be an outreach mission to teach local school kids in Baguio about basic hygiene, recycling and arts. While in Dagupan, they will be providing basic first aid to a predominantly Muslim community living at a dumpsite. The team will continue its mission serving in Payatas to 500 male and female prisoners by providing basic hygiene supplies and sharing the gospel.
